Executive MBA programs usually consist of weekend courses which are tailored to meet the needs of middle managers who have proven records in business and who are ready to move up the corporate ladder. Unlike traditional Full- time MBA programs which are designed for students who have recently acquired their undergraduate degrees and have little or no management experience, this EMBA Program is structured to accommodate seasoned business professionals who can bring a wealth of knowledge and experiences to the classroom.

EMBA admissions requirements generally focus less on previous academic accomplishments and more on business experience, professional growth, and personal maturity. In addition, an EMBA student is usually fully sponsored by his or her company. This includes financial support as well as a commitment to the student to accommodate their varying needs during the course of the program.

Building on the notion that students can learn much from one another as well as from faculty members, the Executive MBA Program is typically "lockstep" in nature. Under this format, students who start the program together stay together throughout the program, taking each class as a cohesive group. As such, students can continue to build on the strengths of each student throughout their course of study to enrich their learning experience. In addition, the EMBA curriculum consists mainly of required courses in the various business disciplines, without the electives or "concentrations" common to the traditional MBA program. This allows for an accelerated program which can usually be completed in 19 months as the student continues to work full-time.

Participants who successfully meet the university academic standings for graduate studies during the Executive MBA program, will be awarded the degree of Master of Business Administration.

EMBA Students are required to have a 3.00 GPA for graduation.
