Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
Beta Gamma Sigma members have been recognized as the best students of business and management by the faculties at the finest business schools in the world. Members are employed at every level of management at the world's most successful organizations, thrive in their entrepreneurial endeavors, and hold faculty and administrative positions at colleges and universities around the world.
Each spring, Kent State's College of Business faculty select those who will be invited for membership in Beta Gamma Sigma following the honor society's guidelines. In general, Juniors who are in the top 7% of their class, seniors who are in the top 10% of their class, Masters students who are in the top 20% of the class, and all students receiving the doctorate in business are eligible for membership (see Beta Gamma Sigma's chapter guidelines on student eligibility for complete details).
Students who accept membership are inducted in a ceremony prior to the College's Annual Spring Awards Dinner and they are entitled to wear Beta Gamma Sigma honors cords at their graduation.
