Financial Assistance
The Graduate School of Management offers a number of Graduate Assistantships to full-time master's degree students. These positions carry academic year stipends from $3,250 to $6,500, plus a tuition scholarship to cover all instructional fees. All graduate assistants must carry at least 8 semester hours of graduate credit per semester, and work from 10 to 20 hours per week. The duties of a graduate assistant range from research, to computer lab assistant, to advising and administration.

Financial assistance decisions are made independently from admissions decisions and are based primarily on academic merit; financial need is NOT a factor. However, issues such as diversity, special abilities, skills and work experience are taken into consideration.

Assistantship Application Deadline: Completed application by April 1 for the Fall Semester

Direct Loans
Direct and FFEL Stafford Loans are the U.S. government's major form of self-aid. The terms and conditions of a Direct Stafford or a FFEL Stafford are similar. The major differences between the two are the source of the funds, some aspects of the application process and the available repayment plans. Direct and FFEL Stafford Loans are either subsidized or unsubsidized. A subsidized loan is awarded on the basis of financial need, and an unsubsidized loan is not awarded on the basis of financial need.

Students must complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for loan eligibility, which can be obtained from the Office of Student Financial Aid, 103 Michael Schwartz Center, (330) 672-2972.

Further information about student aid is available on-line:

Deferred Payment Plan
A deferred payment plan is available for students who receive tuition benefits through their employers. Check with the Graduate Office for more information.
