Biography:

Thomas Maurer has enjoyed success in both general management and information technology, and has used that experience in establishing his consulting business, Future Perfect Associates, Inc., as well as in the university classroom. He worked extensively with Progressive Corporation beginning in 1984, managing teams involved in various database projects to improve customer satisfaction. Later, he led a joint project involving IBM and Xerox in the development of a distributed policy printing application utilizing an enterprise policy database, one of the first applications of this complexity in the country. Mr. Maurer has since worked with Roadway Express and Caliber System in the Information Technology areas and gained general business experience while working with Boise Cascade Corporation as a Division Manager. In addition to his consulting business, Thomas Maurer is a part-time instructor in management and information technology at Kent State University where he serves as a member of The Center for Information Systems, a group advising the university's business school on information systems curricula.
