Our Office

A message from the director

Congratulations on taking the first step toward entering Kent State University! Did you know that there are over 2500 adult students at Kent State? We welcome adult students on our campus and we look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.  Without accurate information and convenient assistance, going to college as an adult can be a stressful and confusing process.

Adult Student Center provides support to adult learners to reduce some of the stress and anxiety that comes along with balancing college, career and family responsibilities.

Please feel free to contact this office at any point in your decision-making process. Know that we will strive to help you negotiate the many services, resources and benefits available at Kent State University.

Thank you for considering Kent State University and best wishes for a successful journey in college!
Pre-Admission Counseling
Not sure where to start? Your first step will be to set up a pre-admissions counseling appointment. You will meet with an adviser to discuss your plans to start or complete a college education. During your appointment you will have the opportunity to find out what programs Kent State University offers, what the admissions process entails, how to learn more about financial aid and what services are available to get you oriented to the campus. Appointments are available during the day, evenings and on Saturdays with an appointment. Contact us by telephone or email for an appointment.
