Todd, of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, of Columbus; Ray Vasvari, of Berkman, Gordon, Murray & DeVan, of Cleveland, and former director of the ACLU; Paul Kostyu, Columbus Bureau Chief of Copley Newspapers; Timothy Regula, HIPAA Compliance Officer at Aultmann Hospital; and a representative from the office of Greg White, Northern District U.S. Attorney.
A debate on Campaign Finance and the 2004 Ohio Supreme Court was held during lunch, moderated by Columbus attorney, Benson Wolman.
The afternoon session discussed Free Press/Fair Trial: Does the First Amendment Trump the Sixth When Trials Become Big News?Panelists included: Judge James Murphy of the Summit County Common Pleas Court; Scott Hiassen, courts reporter for the Plain Dealer; U.S. Attorney Greg White; Tom Adgate, Akron defense attorney; and Lloyd Pierre-Louis, a Columbus attorney who represented Ohio State football player, Maurice Clarett.
