NOTES:
(1) The Philosophy major requires 27 upper-division credit hours in Philosophy. In addition to
these 27 upper-division hours, a philosophy major must take 15 more upper-division hours to
meet an Arts and Sciences College requirement of 42 upper-division hours for graduation.
These additional 15 upper-division hours may be distributed over any of the University's
academic programs in any way a student chooses.
(2) Philosophy's sequence of history of philosophy courses consists of these: PHIL 31001, 31002, 31003, 31004, 31005, 31006, 31010, 31020. Each history of philosophy course is an approved writing-intensive course (WIC).
