The School of Journalism and Mass Communication has moved into Franklin Hall. Finally, all the mass media powerhouses on campus (The Daily Kent Stater, Black Squirrel Radio, and TV2) are coexisting in one place. What now?
That's where KentNewsNet.com comes in. With the converging of the new newsroom to house all three groups, it's only natural that a web site, which houses a whole plethora of content, would emerge. Not only do you have the editorial content from the old Daily Kent Stater Online, but you also will have newscasts from Black Squirrel Radio and TV2, not to mention audio, video, and other interactive things.

The screenshots below show the new Kent News Net website, and the website again, with all of the new/improved content highlighted.

Just to the right of the featured article, there is a column of Top Stories from the current Daily Kent Stater, as well as a section beneath that for updated news on stories already reported previously. There is also a section exclusively for sports headlines beneath that.

Beneath the editorial links, there is a section specifically for stories told by video.

Within the Video Stories section, there are links to Black Squirrel Radio and TV2's newscasts section (when they're up).

Underneath the videos section, there is an interactive section with a small photo gallery, a Blog, and a poll. Although the blogs and poll are not new, they are in a place where more people can see and access them.

On the top left hand corner of the site, there are links that go to the Cyburr, Black Squirrel Radio, Flashline, and Kent.edu
