Library Classrooms
Policy on Library Classrooms -- University Use
Libraries and Media Services (LMS) classrooms are available to University users for class and training needs on a limited bases. Fee-based programs, however, (e.g. workshops and continuing education offerings) fall under a separate policy.
The needs of the LMS instructional program take precedence over all other requests when scheduling classrooms. The Reference and Instructional Services Office reserves the right to assign and/or reassign classrooms to assure the maximum and most appropriate utilization of the facilities.
Scheduling Guidelines
- All classes are limited to using a library classroom no more than two times per semester.

LMS classrooms are available only during regular building hours.

A minimum of two weeks advance notice is required to schedule a visit.

LMS classrooms are not available to students or student groups.

Reservations should be made by contacting the Reference and Instructional Services Department at 330-672-3045 or via email at aclary.

In all cases, the group size should not exceed 24.

Arrangements for locking and unlocking a room must be made at the time of the reservation.

Orientation to classroom equipment, in advance of the scheduled use, is required of all principal instructors using the classroom.
Audiovisual & Software Needs
- Special audiovisual equipment not available in the classroom should be requested from Audio Visual Services at 330-672-3456.
- The use of computers in library classrooms is limited to installed software. Other specialized software needs cannot be supported, nor may users install additional software.
