The Honors Program

The Honors Program offers outstanding students a program of challenging courses and enriched educational experiences. It seeks to develop in them a broad understanding of the arts and sciences, a commitment to excellence in academic and creative endeavors and a respect for cultural diversity. Work in Honors fosters the habits of inquiry, skills in learning and strategies for reflection that are central to the mission of Kent State University. 

The Kent State East Liverpool Campus offers Honors Scholarships to students that attend the East Liverpool Campus full-time, and have been admitted to the Honors Program. In order to be eligible for the Honors Program students must:

  • Apply for Admission to Kent State East Liverpool

  • Request that a copy of your high school transcript be forwarded to Kent State East Liverpool.

  • Complete the Honors Program Application, Recommendation Form, and the 300-word essay.

After January 1st of your senior year, you must apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. All students must complete this form and Kent State East Liverpool's Scholarship Application in order to be considered for scholarship monies.
