The following documents provide some instructions on using Acrobat 6 with Microsoft Word to convert documents to PDF on Windows and Mac computers. Details may vary according to your versions of Word and Acrobat (the instructions are a little outdated). If you use a word processor other than Word or you use another operating system, you can contact us for advice.
Acrobat 6 for Windows (quick convert) IMAGE: This is a link to a Portable Document Format (PDF) file This method is a good starting place. If you run into problems, try the Distiller method.
Acrobat 6 for Windows (Distiller) IMAGE: This is a link to a Portable Document Format (PDF) file If your document is long or has complicated formatting, you may need to use this method.
Acrobat 6 for Mac OS X IMAGE: This is a link to a Portable Document Format (PDF) file
Browse through your finished PDF to make sure all content and formatting was preserved during the conversion.
Note: If you print from Acrobat, be sure to select None for the "Page Scaling" option. Otherwise the document will print with incorrect margins and line spacing.
