As part of Kent State's network of seven regional campuses, Kent State Stark is an open-enrollment institution,
therefore, students who possess the minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent, may enroll for classes.
However, admission criteria does vary by major.
There is no deadline to apply for admission but we do encourage students to apply as early as possible. Info for HS Guidance Counselors
New students from high school should be applying for admission as early as Thanksgiving of their
senior year for admission for the fall semester.

Former Students
- Reenrollment
Any former Kent State University student who has been away from the university for at least one year,
was not dismissed from Kent State, and has not attended any other college or university who would like to
reenroll. If you attended another college or university after leaving Kent State, you must reapply as a transfer student.
- Reinstatement
Any former Kent State University student who was academically dismissed and would like to be reinstated.
